Week 2 and We Are Still Loving It

Here are some highlights of our week!!

Here we are learning how to use a grid.
First we traced our hands on big grid paper and then transfered it to the small.

John and Jacob are learning drawing techniques from an on-line class.

Earthworm Niche
Our first science project was making an Earthworm Niche.
More pictures to come. We are evaluating it for two weeks.
We are studying ecosystems.
Bottom Layers is dirt.
Middle layer is sand.
Top layer is more dirt.

Then add the earthworms.
Put oats on top and covered with dark construction paper.

Our Backyard Habitat
We cut 4 pieces of 1 yard long string
And laid it out in a square.
Then we evaluated it standing up.
Took pictures for a nature journal.
Wrote down what we saw.
Dirt, grass, leaves, and rocks.

Then we got down closer.
We even tried to see if we could hear anything.
